Grandparents are invited to the school on Friday 1st June. They can share a story or song from when they were in school, bring a picture from the past or an object they have made that they would like to tell the children about.

Upon arrival the grandparents will be invited to attend assembly, please ensure that you arrive at the right time!

Grandparents of JI to 2nd class invited to come to school at 8.50.

Senior Assembly 3rd to 6th class

Parent Teacher Association AGM Tonight

Our Parent Teacher Association AGM takes place tonight at 7pm. All parents/Guardians are welcome. The PTA is a great way to meet new parents and friends and it is a critical part of our school community. It would be great to see as many parents as possible to get involved.DSC_0011

We truly value parental involvement in Lucan East ETNS. Our school is a community where pupils, parents and teachers collaborate and work in partnership for our children. This year alone, 89 parents in total helped out with the parental involvement activities in the classroom, which shows how committed and dedicated they are to the school. We would like to thank all of these volunteers. Their time and efforts are really appreciated by all the stuff at Lucan East. They enable us to provide positive and optimum learning experiences for our students.

If you would like to get involved in any classes, help out with PTA events or volunteer with the parental involvement activities next year, please get in touch with Rebecca. Email or phone/text 0861701972.

I hope you all enjoy the summer holidays.

The Launch of ‘LEET’s Get Cooking’

Last Thursday, we had a busy but very exciting day in Lucan East ETNS. Not only did we celebrate Intercultural Day and Jersey Day, we also launched our long-awaited school cookbook ‘LEET’s Get Cooking’. As well featuring photos of all the classes in our school, the cookbook contains many recipes from around the world from countries such as Poland, China, India, Tunisia, Spain, France, Bulgaria, Malaysia, Lithuania and Greece. All the children had the opportunity to submit a recipe and the PTA had a tough time deciding which recipes would appear in the book. We would like to thank all the parents who were involved in compiling the cookbook. The staff and children have loved this project and it is in invaluable fund-raiser for our school. The cookbook is available to purchase for €10 from Lesley in the office school. Alternatively, you can send €10 into school with your child in an envelope to give to their class teacher. Everyone who buys the cookbook will be entered into a draw to win a €50 voucher for Lidl, so happy buying and happy cooking!!!

Clothing Collection

486 kilos of clothing was recycled by our parents, raising €320 for our school. Thank you to all the parents who donated and to the PTA who organised the collection.
