Happy Friday to you all. This week the children have been very busy on a number of projects:
- Well done to Victor (Rang 5 Norway) who did so well in the Dublin Spelling bee.
- 5th Class Brazil have a wonderful video promoting anti Racism which can be viewed on this site and is part of their submission to the “Show Racism the Red Card Competition”. This is a really worthwhile initiative which places a particular emphasis on the field of sport.
- 4th class have some brilliant videos which explain latice multiplication also on this site.
- Our chess team take part in the Dublin finals of the Community games tonight – you can follow their progress on twitter.
- Our hurling team will shortly be taking to the field in their competition.
- Our active schools committee are getting ready for active schools week which will take place in term 3. We will also be restarting walk on Wednesday as part of this project.
- Well done to all who took part in our copper trail and to our winners Australia class. The PTA did a great job counting all the money. We will be buying OT equipment among other things with the money raised. The PTA are continuing their work on the library. Remember if you have any books that you would like to donate simply drop them into the office for the attention of Gráinne.
- Clubs are finishing up this week. many thanks to all the teachers who ran clubs this term.
