Another busy week comes to a close at Lucan East. Our football team takes part in its first tournament. Many thanks to teachers for training the team and parents for helping with lifts. We had a lovely celebration of school attendance today. Over 50 children missed no days of school last year which is brilliant. We also celebrated the children who had made a significant improvement with their attendance. Good attendance is linked to success at school and it was really interesting to hear about the hight expectations that the children have of themselves today in assembly. The next attendance awards will be in January. It would be great to have as many children on full attendance as possible.
It has been great to see such a good turnout at the class meetings this week. They really give you a good grounding on what we have planned for your child this year. Class meetings continue next week. Times and dates can be accessed from this website. The AGM of the PTA takes place next wednesday and I look forward to meeting you all then. There have been some great entries for the photography competition – keep them coming.
Have a great weekend, Eddie
