In other news, our 5th and 6th class girls’ soccer team made it through to the finals in the Dublin Spar 5’s soccer tournament this week. We are very proud of their achievement. Comhghairdeachas libh!
Many thanks to the parents and Audrey (gardening teacher) who have been working on our school garden this week. It looks great and will be growing beautifully in a few weeks.
‘Bring a Book, Buy a Book’ will be on on Wednesday 21st March. We are still looking for books to be donated so if you or any of your family have books at home that you are not using anymore please send them in to the school on or before Wednesday 21st March. On that day all books will be on sale for 50 cent each. There are great bargains to be had and we are looking forward to generating some money from it towards buying more books for the school.
A quick reminder that the school will be closed on Tuesday 20th March as the teachers must attend New Language Curriculum Training for the day in Dublin West Education Centre.
It’s been a great second week in the school for me. A big thank you to all of the parents, teachers and pupils for making me feel so welcome.
Wishing you all a happy St. Patrick’s Day and a safe weekend and we will see you all back in school next Wednesday 21st March.
Is mise le meas,
Gráinne
